I photograph many weddings and got the Sigma 20mm 1.8 because it would allow me to take better shots in low light conditions. A few of the weddings I have done in the past took place during the evenings, which is a nightmare to shoot with your average lenses. The Sigma is a bit heavier than what I would have liked seeing as I have to carry it around during the wedding but it does its job well and allows me to get great shots even when the light is not the best. The auto focus is a bit noisy which is not a good thing at weddings but I have learned to live with it. For its price, I would say this lens is worth it if you are in the same position as me and have to take great shots in low light. Not many other lenses are capable of that feat especially at this focal range.
